Kraft builds ads around 'KD truths'

Kraft Canada launched an advertising campaign to boost sales of its flagship brand, Kraft Dinner (KD), from the adult market. The campaign was conceptualized by advertising agency J. Walter Thompson Co and is composed of several television spots featuring common Canadians talking about why they love Kraft Dinner. The company also redesigned packaging of products under the KD umbrella and is preparing for the launch of a new KD product.

Kool-Aid puts `best face forward'

Kraft Canada's new Kool-Aid packaging featuring the brand's big smile will be available in store shelves starting in March 1999. Redesigned by Hunter Straker Ltd of Toronto, Ontario, the new product packaging is part of the firm's move to capitalize on the success of massive 'Face' campaign in 1998. Kraft Canada's in-store promotional items, such as temporary tattoos and air mattresses will also feature the face icon.
